There will be a convention theme banner made and carried by the convention chairman in the opening procession.

Each zone is asked to make a banner for the district convention.  The zone banners will be carried by the zone chairman (or co-chairman) in the procession at the opening worship service on Friday evening, accompanied by the zone Young Women Representatives.

1-a. The “official” convention theme banner carried by the chairman should depict the convention logo and colors (shown above) and include the year in the design it should be finished on the back and may have the year and LWML logo.

1.b. Zone banners may use the convention logo/theme as an idea starter.  The banner maker is free to interpret the theme, logo and colors in creative ways.

2. Banner size should not exceed 3x5 feet in size.  Keep in mind it will be carried in procession.  The back need not be decorated, but should look good from the back.

3. Make sure the basic banner design is visible and lettering readable from a distance.  The banners will be on display throughout the convention and will be viewed from a distance as well as close up.

4. Provide a pole and stand for the banner. Put the name of your zone on the stand. The stands will be put in place in the assembly hall in a specific order and you need to be able to find your placement.

5. Banners need to be at the convention site well before the start of the procession on Friday evening. Make sure the person bringing the banner and pole/stand knows this.  The registration table will have information on where to take the banners.

6. There will be someone assigned to assist in lineup and give other instructions on the procession.
